European Packaging Waste Meeting
Sociedade Ponto Verde is organizing the first European Packaging Waste Meeting, which will take place in Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon (Portugal), next November 7th.
This initiative aims to bring together members of the Government and other public entities, top representatives of major institutions and national and European companies, in a reflection day on the agenda of the Environment, Sustainability and Circular Economy.
Analyze the Portuguese and European public policies, namely in waste management and packaging recycling, where there are ambitious targets and commitments to fulfill, as well as the role of smart and sustainable cities in fighting climate change and improving the quality of citizens’ lives; and present the best practices and the need for technological innovation and new innovative business models in the recycling sector are among the topics to be addressed at the European Packaging Waste Meeting.
Best practices with the potential to be applied in Portugal and cases of innovation in the
sector, based on the potential of waste as accelerator of the circular economy, will also be
highlighted at the first European Packaging Waste Meeting.
Program
The European Packaging Waste Meeting will provide a perspective on the Environment, Sustainability, and Circular Economy issues to promote Portugal’s environmental, economic, and social development.
